Weekly Rides from the Woodlands Store.*
All Saturday morning rides start at our Woodlands store (Southeast corner of I-45 & Research Forest Dr.) in the front parking lot. Please pick the appropriate ride for your skill level. Maps are available for each route listed below.

Bikeland Weekly Mountain Bike Rides

Mountain Bike Rides from Cypresswood/Huntsville State Park/Doublelake.*
All Sunday morning rides meet at Bikeland @ 8:00a.m. Alternate departures every few weeks "Please call to confirm ride & location, especially if weather is questionable!"

Directions to Cypresswood trail:
Trail is on Cypresswood between Kuykendahl and Stuebner Airline, on the south side of the street,
across from where TC Jester meets Cypresswood. (TC Jester does not go all the way through at this
time.)
This is an easy trail with some fun technical areas for those who want a challenge. All levels of abilities are welcome to come. No one will be left behind.

Directions to Huntsville State Park: view map
(Approx. 34.5 miles or 30 min. from The Woodlands.) North on I-45, exit Huntsville State Park exit, head west under overpass 2 miles to park entrance.

Directions to Doublelake State Park: 301 FM 2025 Coldspring, TX 77331
(Approx. 43 miles or 38 min. from The Woodlands.) North on I-45, exit Willis FM1097 East, Head east on 150 for 17 miles, turn right on 2025, Doublelake State Park is on the left 1/2 mile.

As of the end of July 2006, the trails are being logged for forest management, taking out 60% of the pine trees, leaving the remainder and all of the hardwoods. The land will look very different than it has, but eventually it will be nice. The work will continue through August and into September.

Meanwhile, GHORBA worked very hard and the county have planned a high powered meeting to hopefully pool resources between the county and flood district to make a good offer to finally purchase the land and secure it forever.

Meantime, please stay off the private land (clearly posted). The land either side is county owned and you can use those trails. Ride along Cypresswood Drive between the two trail areas.
